Everyday Heroes Recognition Breakfast

The Genesee County Educational Foundation (GCEF), a nonprofit organization established by the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD), is gearing up for its 8th Annual Everyday Heroes Recognition Breakfast on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. This signature event will be held at the Genesee Career Institute Conference Center, G-5081 Torrey Road, Flint, MI. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m., with the event start time at 8:30 a.m.

GCEF, along with generous community donations help to fund educational and enrichment programs available to students in Genesee County such as the 21st Century Before and After School Programs, Ligon Outdoor Center, and SKIP to a Great Start. Student scholarship opportunities are also available to further their post-secondary learning, such as the Genesee Career Institute - Harold Scoville Scholarship, Genesee Early College & Mott Middle College Scholarships, the William Tunnicliff Memorial Scholarship, and the Paul Yunker Memorial Fund.

The Everyday Heroes Recognition Breakfast celebrates and honors individuals who positively impact the lives of children and families in Genesee County, and who provide exemplary service to the programs the Foundation supports. Honorees from each enrichment program are selected and awarded during the event.

Individual tickets for the event are now available for $15 each. To get registered, attendees will need to notate GCEF Breakfast for the program name. Businesses and organizations that are interested in attending and/or becoming a sponsor of this year’s event can email [email protected] or call (810) 591-4541.
