Shae received the Coach’s Award on her JV soccer team when she was a freshman and she served as the captain of the team during her sophomore year.

Shaelyn plans to attend Findlay University in the fall of 2020. Her goal is to earn a degree in Animal Science. She’s hoping to continue her studies at Michigan State University in the Veterinary Medicine program. Shaelyn has wanted to be a veterinarian for many years. She’s don career interviews, attended career fairs, toured veterinary medicine programs at colleges, and has volunteered at the Potter Park Zoo. Given her warm and caring personality, a career in veterinary medicine is a perfect fit for Shae.

Shae has enjoyed her education and the invaluable experience she’s acquired in the Veterinary Medicine program at GCI. Shae has consistently earned A’s in the program, which is no surprise. She is very passionate, motivated, and conscientious. Shaelyn Ruby is truly the Best of the Bes CTE Student of the Year and is very deserving of this recognition!
